Trun off the auto upload in the itunes preferences then create two playlists, one for each of you. add your files manually. I always hated the auto upload function and turned it right off when it made me lose about 1000 songs one day

Go to edit, find preferences and (under the Ipod tab I think) uncheck the tab "automatically update songs" (or something like that).

As for your deleting songs problem, I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else can help you there.

my boyfriend and i had the same problem. we just created different log on names for the computer and different accounts for iTunes and it fixed that problem. we still shared the credit card though...it worked fine. there may be something else you can do, but that was easy and it worked for us. you might lose some songs but you can burn them and then rip them onto your seperate account...that's what i did.
