I was just wondering what some of your favorite songs were in the late 90's(1996-1999)

That was a real dead spot in music (not that it's gotten much better since). Oasis and Third Eye Blind were a couple of the better bands to enjoy popularity during that period.

My favorite songs were recorded long before then. Sophie Tucker,World War 1 music, World War 11 music, Ragtime Music, The Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Paul McCartney and Wings, Rascal Flatts.......real MUSIC. Somewhere along the way, technology and rap took over, and I stopped listening. I play my LPs,45's,tapes and CDs of the music I dearly love. I even have those very thick records from YEARS ago. They resemble LPs but have a different name and I can't recall that, right now. I am so glad that my parents introduced me to the music of their time. Mom would sing me to sleep with songs from her childhood. Dad would teach me the words to songs from his childhood. I am very fortunate to have been exposed to great music all my life.

I liked Green Day, Marilyn Manson, Nirvana, The Counting Crows, Blind Melon..... I could go on and on with the rock/grunge scene......I had too many favorites to name songs.
