My whole foot tans...if you're talking about the bottom of your foot, that's because you are constantly walking and exfoiliating the tanned skin cells off so they do not stay.

you have no melanin on the underside of your foot. melanin is what gives your skin pigment. even though that part may be exposed to the sun there is no melanin to change the color of your foot to a darker shade. this is also the same for your palms and lips.

part of you skin is too thin to get tan, like feet, and sometimes ears.
