I would be devastated at the loss. My life would never be the same. I would be very proud of him as I consider all those who join the forces as heroes. I would curse the day George W was born for getting us into an unnecessary war with no exit plan,

Omigod!! I don't think any of us can really know how we would react! I hope this hasn't happened to you!! My boys are just babies right now; but I pray for this madness in Iraq to stop! My husband has a very close friend over there right now. He was very gung-ho about going in the beginning( last fall), now that reality is setting in I think he's getting scared. Three guys from his troop were killed. These were guys he trained with and everything. So he he is pretty shook up. We pray for his safe return DAILY!! My heart is with all the mothers, and everyone else who has lost someone to war. God bless their souls. PEACE.

I don't know how I would act if I had a son in Iraq and he got killed. I did have a brother stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan, but he made it home safely. Physically safe, but emotionally messed up. If I had lost him fighting the wars, I think I would have lost it emotionally. I don't know how my mom would have felt , except she probably would have lost it also. We are not a real close knit family, but we are close. He kept in touch with us about every week when he was fighting the wars. Thank God he did make it home safe and sound, and didn't get hurt or killed.

I HAVE A SON!!!

Nah, I would be sad. I have a cousin who just got back from Iraq, but he has to go to training for about 1 or 2 more months. It would have been terrible if he would have died.
