Blood tests are not always accurate. Though they are more accurate than urine tests sometimes it is too early to tell with a blood test as well.
False positives are rare. I would take another test sometime this week and if you get another line even a faint one go to the doctor.
It is totally possible that you just did not have enough of the pregnancy hormone for it to be detected yet.

It's entirely possible that you could be pregnant. Even as little as a day can make a huge difference in the amount of hcg in your system. :)
I would say: test again in the morning. Use a sensitive test (check the website below for more information) and test as soon as you get up to pee in the morning. False positives are rare, but they have been known to happen...especially if they are faint or gray (instead of pink).
Good luck to you!

Get a blood test- or if u are like me- go get another test and try again. Sometimes the HCG content in the urine isn't strong enough to register at first..
By the way- my son was a 'faint positive'.. Good luck! ;)

Home tests are more known to give you false negatives - tell you that your not pregnant when you are - it is a better chance that you are - go back and get another test done to make sure.

Sometimes the faint positive line means it's not a positive. It may very well be an evaporation line (I hate those). To be sure go back and get a 2nd opinion from your ob/gyn. Good Luck, hon.

If you are having signs that you may be pregnant (ie. no period, fatigue, boobs sore, etc.) I would have a second blood test done, since they are most accurate.
