Superman was born with his powers bc he is from another planet. This will most likely not be possible for you. However, some "characters" have gained superpowers by coming in contact with hazardous materials such as radioactive liquid, massive amounts of electricity, etc. (ie: Fantastic Four, The Joker in Batman, Alex Mac from the Nickelodeon show)

Be born on an alien planet that is about to be destroyed and get your parents to send you in a space ship to a ungodly wreck of a planet, like Earth. Have a childless couple find you, raise you in a godforsaken desert, like Kansas, and then go decide to be a reporter or something like that. If that doesn't work, try a dip in nuclear waste :)

find a planet with a lower gravity and more brittle items on it. that way you can leap long distances, pick up heavy objects, and seem to be super strong...

Stand in the middle of a place where there's lots of people (ex. mall, wal-mart, a park) and stang on a very high place then jump off and yell "I can fly!!!!" .....it worked for me :)
