I have had these awful dreams about once every month for the longest time. People say you can't get hurt in your dreams, I beg to differ. I'm stuck, I can't move, and everything is black. Then something begins to poke my back. It's so painful, I can't stand it. Something surges pain through my spine anywhere from 1-20 times and then it stops, and I wake up. I'm so tired after I wake up, but I don't want to go to sleep again because I would probably have the dream all over again. I wish someone could help me, I'm only 12 years old and I've had this dream for as long as I can remember. I don't get it, I can't stop having it either! It's actual pain. It's gone when I wake up, but the thought is still in my head and it's haunting me. I can't move, I can't stop whatever it is from shoving whatever it is into my back, I'm so confused, I don't even know what it is! Does anyone know what's going on?

Look people, this has been happening since I was 2 years old, stop telling me to tell my parents, I may be 12 but that doesn't mean I have the maturity of a 10 year old. You think I haven't told them already? They don't seem too concerned.

I read a book once on understanding dreaming. It teaches you to control your dreams. I can smell taste and feel in my dreams. People don't believe me, but it's true. Maybe look up some books on dreaming ? I however think you should talk to your parents too. They'll be able to help you either way.

I agree that your body is probably trying to tell you that something is really physically wrong and that it would be best to get it checked out.

However, I would also like to add that I have had dreams where I have experienced physical pain (in the dream). I have been killed numerous times in dreams in almost every common way. I have actually lost consciousness in my dreams because of dying in my dreams, but then woke up out of the dream. But it is a myth that when you die in your dream, you die in real life because I am living proof of it being a myth.

I suggest you talk to your parents, you might acctually be having physical health issues that need to be dealt with straight away - i suggest you talk to your mother and ask her to take you to see a GP
