Do they need a lot of water , fertilizer or PH balance?

It depends on where you are growing them. They do well in full sun/partial shade.. Any fertilizer with a higher middle number will work well since that pushes blooms. Keep the soil evenly moist but do not over water, they will rot. They prefer to be water from under the leaves too since water on the leaves will cause spots easily enough. Enjoy the beauty they add to the yard or container. Take off spent blooms too so seeds don't take all the energy from the plant. Happy growing.

I never worry about the PH balance and have acid soil where I live.

They love water.
They need high pot-ash fertilizer once a month to keep blooming (the middle number on the bag)
They need full sun.
