I am ready to have my baby I heard that having rough sex can induce the labor.

I was in my last week of pregnancy and my doctor suggested it. Apparently sperm can induce contractions, and start things up for you. It worked for me, 12 hours later was in labor.

no tried it with @ of 4 pregnancies, but did nothing for baby's ETA. Rough sex is not comfotable at a time like this and so why bother. enjoy the time you have with each other and rest while you still can baby will have you up every 3 hours the next 6 months.

It doesnt have to be rough but sperm make the cervix thin. I was told that and I tried it with my third child. I had sex everynight for about a week then I went into labor and when I arrived at the hospital I was 3cm. I was also told that Raspberry tea leaf helps.

I was a high risk pregnancy so my Dr. told me no sex till we made it to 37 weeks. After she took me off of bed rest and all my restrictions she told me that if we wanted to we could have sex. But beware because it might bring on labor. Of course with the hubby hearing this he decided to take me to a nice dinner and romance me. Well I guess she was right.. That night while having sex my water broke! We welcomed our healthy baby the next day. So I would say. Yes sex COULD help bring on labor

I asked the same question a while ago and got some pretty good answers. Check out the question I asked to get some decent answers.
Whatever you do, please do not resort to using castor oil no matter what anyone says. This is dangerous for two reasons 1) It crosses the placental barrier and the baby ingests it as well. This can cause him/her to aspirate the meconium he/she produces after taking in the castor oil. This is much more dangerous than aspirating amniotic fluid as meconium is very toxic and sticky. 2) You can dehydrate yourself and cause severe constipation afterwards. Your milk will not let down. You don't need to be stressed and worn out while you are in labor.

Sure...worked for me...it was 3 days before my due date, and I went into labor about 4 hours after doing "it"! It doesn't have to be rough sex, though! Good Luck!

It can help.Though rough sex is not advised.Regular sex will do it,because semen contains a low level of a hormone(Iforget what its called)that may aid in starting labor.I know you are anxious but let baby take it's time.It will know when the time is right.

well its not necessarily the act of sex that induces labor its an orgasm (contracting of the uterine walls) that can cause you to go into labor by..bringing on contractions

it can how far along are you. your baby may not be ready. dont want a sick baby do you. talk to your doctor. they will stop labor if they feel its still to early and you arent having high blood pressure or some other sign of distress

It would have to be rough enough to endanger the health of your unborn child as well as that of it's mother - you! Don't be so foolish! Baby comes when it is time for baby to come. You'll have plenty of time to enjoy your little one; never fear!
