I feel so sorry for you, a couple of years ago I had the same problem with a temp. that they hired here at the office, he was sitting in front of me and the fan was in front of him blowing the smell to me and to make matters worse I WAS PREGNANT.
I used to spray perfume in my hands and smell it.
I wouldn't have the nerves to tell anyone that they smell.
Good luck!!

I think you should just do either the following:
1. Make a Conversation on Deodorants and Soaps and stuff - Spreading the word on those things could help her think about her buying some new soaps and stuff so she can smell good when she tries them out in the shower.
2. Ask her why she smells bad - Hey, sometimes people smell bad for a good reason, maybe her shower is broken or she probably forgot to pay the water bill. You may never know...
3. If her birthday is nearby, or her anniversary, or any occasion that gifts may be neccessary - Give her a shampoo or dedorant as a present. Very camfloudged message right there. So this might be the most nicest thing to put.
4. Tell the whoever runs your workplace person about this complaint, and she'll be warned of somesort eventually.

this is an embarrassing situation and you do not want to hurt her feelings so therefore here is a suggestion; buy her a set of deodorant, perfume etc.tell her that you just heard about this new line and you`ve tried and to your satisfaction it has been a wonderful experience, and you are now suggesting that she tries it to see if she would get the same results.tell her that all your friends have tried it and it is a hit especially with the men , you have to just spice it up and make it seem as if it is the newest craze and if she is not wearing it she is not in synch with today just a little white lie in a sweet sugar way ,use your common sense and spice it up so a s not to make her feel bad.first of all i should have mentioned don`t just go and present it to her like that because yes she might know that she smells start by asking what type of perfume she wears and then gradually break into the idea i presented , after talking for awhile and letting it seem like you genuinely care which i hope you do then you can introduce your new line of cosmetics.hope i helped good luck. make sure to tell her to use it after she has taken a bath.

There is no nice way. If you give her a basket full of toiletries she'll just resent the fact that you don't accept her the way she is and the expensive well-thought out products will sit around collecting dust in the home of your new enemy. An anonymous note or e-mail might be just the thing. Ask if she is suffering from depression and if not why is she neglecting basic hygiene.

Try slipping some body spray or something of the sort on her desk. This is with the understanding that you two are NOT the only ones in the entire office...

If you've tried hints and whatnot.. sometimes you just have to go for it and let them know in a nice way that they need to take a shower because it is distracting you at work.. or just tell a supervisor

I would talk to a supervisor about the problem and if it is not handled, I would leave a nice little typed note unsigned on her desk, stating that she needs to use deodorant.

Leave this note on her desk and one on your's:
"Please consider addressing your body odor."
That way you are not suspected and only she and you know about the note and she certainly is not going to say anything.
