cant find blujay pics on the web that show a full black neck and head....probly not a blue jay

Blue Jay maybe. Most likley a stellars jay.

I noted my first Downy woodpecker this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. this can be a exceedingly good description of it that you gave. of direction, i'm in Texas. LOL!!! bypass to Google. elect "pictures" from the proper of the menu. variety in Downy woodpecker and note in case you'll come across an same chook. good success!

Could be a magpie (Pica pica) but your description is a bit vague
