Had one before kids & don't like the scar it left. I think they are somewhat attractive. I would rather see a jewel than a scar, but I worry about how it might be perceived. I work with kiddos and thinking about my own children worry how they might take it. Hubby wants me to get one as we discussed it just two years ago, and I was willing then. I asked to go a few times, and he didn't seem interested. Now he is ready and I'm a little nervous about it. If I could keep it behind closed doors, absolutely. Since others see it at the pool or even when moving around accidentally showing my belly, I just don't know.

I do think I have the body for it, and I'm not quite 30. It would strictly be for the little sexiness it presents for my hubby, especially since there is the scar left from the one I had and removed when pregnent with first child. Is it worth potentially offending my peers, coworkers, and children to look attractive a fraction of the day? I don't mind keeping him happy behind closed doors, but that to me is like leaving the door cracked a bit. Still undecided.

You are not too old for a belly ring .. nor are you too fat or too anything ! If you are proud of it then show it off ! If you are worried about what other people might think then keep it hidden. Its your choice. But totally go for it ! I would not worry about what other people think. If people cannot see past a peice of jewelery then they arent people you want to be with anyway.
AND its a piercing.. its removable ... try it and if you dont like it get rid of it.
Dont worry about what your neighbour thinks.. what your kids think. what your husband thinks.. if you want it and you like it then DO IT ! Its your body its your choice.

The whole point of a belly ring is to be shown off. Thus meaning that you're gonna wear shirts that show your stomach. This in many cases is a cry for attention (any as it may be), and advertising for an area lower than the stomach. If you get one it may perceived that you are trying to act and be young again, aka kinda desperate. Scars can be attractive, they tell the story of who you are.

You're too old for a belly button ring if;

1 .Your belly is down around your knees.
2. Your ear lobes are down around your knees.
3. You've had so many face lifts, your belly button is now your mouth.
