What can a guy do to keep a wife emotionally happy

To keep her emotionally happy, try the following:
1) I love you. Three little words that you can never say enough.
2) Thank you. Two words that show her respect.
4) Spending time with her. You show that you are willing to be with her.
5) Ask her what she would like to do. Show interest in her makes her happy.
6) Listen. She wants to be your friend.
7) Help around the house. Being a lover is one thing, but showing you can be there makes everything so much happier for her.
These are some of the things I have done to make women happy.

Respect her feelings even if you think they are silly. Remember guys don't think like us gals do. What is important to us usually don't mean sqaut to you guys.
Let her know you care how her day went, that it isn't just about you.
Listen to her when she has something to say, even if you don't agree. Support her decisions for what's best for her, she knows better than you what that is.
Don't be possessive or controlling with your love. You both are individual people neither of you lost your own identity when you got married. Women need to know they are respected for who they are, not what they can give you.
If you have children, SHARE the responsibily of them (I'm not just referring to financially). It took you both to bring them into this world. It's not just the womens responsibility.
Hold hands, let her know she is #1 in your life (Actually, God should always be #1, then the spouse). If she starts wondering where she fits in in your world, then you might have a problem.
Spend quality time together, but remember you both probably have seperate interests, so respect that and try to concentrate on both. It's not just about what you want to do.
We women are emotional creatures, we really need to be able to expression it with out being told "you shouldn't feel like that". We feel what we feel whether we should or not.
We look to you guys to protect us, console us, you are our security and our strength, we look to you to pick us up when we're down and walk beside us when all is well, and be there for us no matter what. Not that we are weak in any sense of the word, but there is a reason God created man first. We are God's gift to you men as a companion and help mate.
It's not really that hard to do if you really Love and Respect her. Somethings come through loud and clear.

Show her you care. You can talk and talk and talk, but if you treat her like crap, forget it. Do the little things that you know she loves. Try to do random things for her too, not just when you screw up. She'll probably not understand or be concerned at first, but just reassure her you wanna be a better man for her. Don't just promise things, do things. If you are in a store and see a little thing you know she'd love or think is funny and you've got the cash, get it. Let's say you're in the grocery store picking eggs or milk after work, you pass her favorite fruit... grab one. Tell her the fruit fairy dropped it off for her or something. Or that it made you think of her so you got it. That stuff means the world, I promise.

Women are much different than men in regards to their emotional needs. It appears that we need the men in our lives to take the time to ATTEMPt to understand where we are coming from when we are dealing with our issues as well as we need for you to allow us to be emotionally connected to you. Men, by nature do not seem to delve into their emotional pool anywhere near as much as woman, but if you could at least allow us into the shallow end with you, that would be wonderful.

Good God man......give us a fighting chance by adding "for at least 2 weeks in a row" to the end of your question.
And don't listen to rickers - that boy can't even count correctly on one hand.
The cold hard facts are that most women are at their happiest when they have something to whine about and more importantly, someone to listen to them whine. And that's the best you can do.

Always ask her about how she feels about things. Women want a guy to really care about how she feels.

All you have to do it continue trying....you'll never suceed but it the effort that keeps them happy...the more you recognize her needs the happier she becomes.
