Japanese legend has a unicorn-like beast called a Ki-rin; Chinese legend has a Kilin (similarly spelled but a lot different than a Ki-rin); and Arabian folklore holds glimpses of a karkadaan.
As for real Unicorns, India has a rhinocerous, Arabia has an antelpe called an oryx, and the narwhal I think might be called a sea unicorn sometimes.
Hope this helps...

Monoceros is the name of the unicorn constellation.
Other than the one-horned horse, there is also the Ch'i-lin, a Chinese unicorn. It is also called Ky-lin or K'i-lin and has the head of a dragon, the tail of an ox, and a stag's body. It's skin is red, yellow, blue, white, and black. These colors represent the Ch'i-lin's magical connection with the five elements: fire, water, wood, metal, and earth. It is said this creature is no larger than a goat and has a voice that sounds like bells.
There are also two Japanese unicorns. The Ki-rin has a horse-like body, a single horn, and flame-like wings on its front shoulders and flanks. The coat of the Ki-rin is copmposed of delicate feathers or feather-like scales, which are golden brown or simply gold. Its mane and tail are a darker gold, as are its hooves and horns. The eys are blue-violet or sunny brown.
The Japanese Sin-you looks like a lion with a thick, tawny mane and a single horn. It has the ability to know who is guilty and who is innocent. The sage Kau You consulted the Sin-you regarding the serious law cases which came before him in court. The Sin-you would stand still adn stare with its sun-flecked eyes at the guilty party, then suddenly it would pierce the guilty person through the heart with its horn.
In Arabia and ancient Persia lived another type of unicorn called the Karkadann. Sometimes it is described as resembling a stag, horse, or antelope. Other times it is said to have a body like a rhinoceros, a tail like a lion, and yellow hooves, with a single, black crescent-shaped horn on its forehead.

Here's a Japanese page about one-horned critters..!
http://x51.org/x/05/04/1924.php
The common word for them these days is 'ユニコーン' - which is pronounced in almost the same way as 'unicorn'.
Another word for unicorns - not critters with one horn, just the white horse with one horn - is 一角獣 pronounced Ikkakujuu. (The constellation Monoceros is called 一角獣座 ... ikkakujuuza.)
Kirin, apart from being a giraffe or a brand of beer, is a sort of Chinese monster. Rather more fearsome than a unicorn though!
Here is a 麒麟図 / kirinzu ... a picture of a 'kirin',

Here are some pics from the front of Kirin beer cans!!

Very dangerous looking beast...!
