I have taught preschool to high school.... I find you need more patience for the younger ones, cause they just don't get it. Older kids get it, but they don't care. Not much you can get angry at; it's their own stupidity.
When I was teaching grade 6, I had a student who swore at the principal and at me over and over. It was abusive and degrading to take that crap. But we do it b/c we care.
I had another grade 3 class where I had three students referred to special programs for serious behaviour students, and that too was frustrating and humbling.
All these tough classes came early in my career and in tough schools. Not much yuo can do, except learn and make you tougher. I've got better class management skills, better lessons and know to to stand up for myself with the principal. Those previous situations, the principal did not do his job and we sat there taking the abuse.
I've often gone home hating work and dreading coming back to teach. It's much harder being a teacher than a student. Many beginning teacherd rop out in the their first five years. I am enjoy my students and teaching and it has been ten years already. It's not for everyone and each year, I get my speical students who require a little more.
Give the teacher a break. If there's something s/he is doing, perhaps, write him/her a note and make a suggestion.

I've had teachers that give extra amounts of homework or take away the luxuries such as sitting next to your friends or even playing review games or something, but that stuff isn't too bad. But if you want help on that very difficult upcoming project that's worth a big part of your grade and due tomorrow, then you'd better forget about it.

I feel very disappointed in myself for not providing a stimulating enough lesson. I look at my class and try to decide what topic will pull them back into focus, generally it is something that appeals to them. I then try to "wing it" and make my lesson more entertaining. A disruptive class is generally an indication that the lesson is too hard, easy or plain old boring.

Well, teaching can be frustraiting, but if you can't control the class something is wrong. Make the environment fun, but fair to everyone, if someone is being disruptive hand out the same punishment.
