Air is one of the four classical elements, and is associated with many other concepts, such as the sword suit in the tarot. Air is considered to be both hot and wet, and according to Plato is associated with the octahedron.

Air at any pressure greater than atmospheric pressure.
A naturally occurring mixture of gases, chiefly nitrogen and oxygen with small amounts of argon, carbon dioxide, and water vapour. Air also usually contains dust and pollen

A colorless, odorless, tasteless, gaseous mixture, mainly nitrogen and oxygen with lesser amounts of argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, neon, helium, and other gases
Air is a physical substance which has weight and is made up of molecules which are constantly moving.

Moving air has a force that will lift kites and balloons up and down. Air is a mixture of different gases; oxygen, carbon dioxide and nitrogen

Earth's atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding the planet Earth and retained by the Earth's gravity. It contains roughly 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen, trace amounts of other gases, and water vapor. This mixture of gases is commonly known as air. The atmosphere protects life on Earth by absorbing ultraviolet solar radiation and reducing temperature extremes between day and night.

A colorless, odorless, tasteless, gaseous mixture, mainly nitrogen (approximately 78 percent) and oxygen (approximately 21 percent) with lesser amounts of argon, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, neon, helium, and other gases. This mixture with varying amounts of moisture and particulate matter, enveloping the earth; the atmosphere.

Air is a mixture of gases, roughly 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and the rest is trace gases. Other gases in the air are carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc.

Composition of
dry atmosphere, by volume ppmv: parts per million by volume
Gas Volume
Nitrogen (N2) 780,840 ppmv (78.084%)
Oxygen (O2) 209,460 ppmv (20.946%)
Argon (Ar) 9,340 ppmv (0.9340%)
Carbon dioxide (CO2) 381 ppmv
Neon (Ne) 18.18 ppmv
Helium (He) 5.24 ppmv
Methane (CH4) 1.745 ppmv
Krypton (Kr) 1.14 ppmv
Hydrogen (H2) 0.55 ppmv
Not included in above dry atmosphere:
Water vapor (highly variable) typically 1%
