How did you and your partner meet? I ask because me and my boyfriend me by walkie talkies...its weird how we were farther than the range and our frequencies still caught. How did you meet your sweetie pie?

I love your walkie-talkie story - pretty cool.
We met while teaching vacation bible school. We attended the same church, but were in different age groups. They asked for volunteer teachers. We both signed up and during our off time we got to know each other. We started dating about a month later. Been married for 20yrs.

I was working at a hot dog stand on a little island in NC and he came to the states from Australia to buy a sailboat. Well, he stopped by my hot dog stand to buy lunch for the guys who were working on the boat with him and we met there. Then, he came back every single day for a week and a half to get more hot dogs. Now I worked there so I knew the dogs weren't that good so I wasn't that shocked when he admitted that he despises hot dogs and only came to see me, thereby asking me out on our first date. During that date he took my hand and said "The world deserves to know you...will you come on my boat with me." Well of course I said yes, (who could say no to the world deserves to know you) and the rest is history. We've been going strong now for almost 2 years and are getting married at the end of 2007. Thanks for letting me share that, it's my favourite memory.

I was working at Barnes and Noble, and he was killing time there. I asked if he needed any help and he said no. I went back to check again about 30 minutes later, since he was still there. He said no thanks but then he got up and followed me around talking. We went hiking the next day. We were inseperable for two weeks and then I told him to go away because he was getting too serious too fast. He called me everyday for two weeks more. Three months later I moved in with him. Three years later we got married and we have been married for seven years this August. Gosh I love bookstores!

Still on my search. My first was a college, the second after I moved to Columbus and he work for a tree company that met at the house next door before work. He was great. We stayed together for 9 years, split 1.5 years. I am still in love with him.

This is how i met my husband five years ago.........
I was living at home, and one day a house that had been for sale down the street was suddenly occupied. I walked down to introduce myself, and to my surprise, it was a really good looking, single guy!! We talked for about an hour. The next day, I made him some cookies, and brought them down. Every day after that we talked for at least an hour. And now, here we are - married! And the good part is I still live close to my mom and dad :)

Hello, I meet my husband in the grocery store. He was doing the shopping for his mother. Who was there sitting in the front of the store. She wasn't able to walk around and shop for herself. He was running back and forth making sure he got exactly what she wanted. I was only there because I was purchasing groceries, personal, and household items for my Father and his wife. By right i should not have even been on that part of town. To me that was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Three years later we got married! : )

Well actually the night I met my man was the night my neighbor was having a little party and some people from a neighboring town about 25-30 miles away stopped by.....my neighbor asked them to leave. I went with them to a different party in their hometown...which i knew maybe 4 people from their school. (This was the year after i graduated...) anyways....when i was at the party...i got pretty wasted....This guy told me that he wanted to hook me up with his friend...he thought his friend and I would be good for eachother...so his friend came over there....and immediately i was like AHHHH.....ya know. So that night actually ended up as a one night stand...first time doing something like that. And after that i realized i didnt get his number...but he took mine. He called me back, came over to my house many times, we partied....It took a long time before we actually dated...like 7 months....In that time he had a girlfriend...she hated me cause she knew he wanted me...but i just wasnt sure about him. After time, we ended up dating....moved in together. We are now in love...engaged...and expecting a baby! I'm greatfull for that night. The only time I can say I actually did something GOOD when I was drunk. He's the most special person in my life!!!

She crashed into me and knocked me off my motorbike, when she visited me in hospital she didn't realise how badly I was injured and along with my parents, she never left my side whilst I was in intensive care (48hrs) and then when I was moved to HDU she was always there, I actually thought she was a nurse when I finally came around properly, and we got married 2 years later. Not really romantic, just really weird.

at work...
worked together a whole yr before we ever even realised we had anything in common, got a lift home one day and HEY! hang on a sec.. we kinda clik!
i was going thru a rough time and he was such a gentleman, not hitting on me at all, not even hinting at a date, just helping me out and listening till i was ready and over the issue....
Kept our relationship a secret from work until staff party where he said to everyone he was bringing his girlfriend... they were all like "girlfriend?!?!?! since when? who??" and then he turned up with me on his arm... half of em didnt get it, the other half couldnt believe it! coz we seem so different at first glance.
2 yrs later, still going strong :-)

I met him in high school and didn't like him. He kept on writing letters for about a year before I realized he was the one. We've been dating for 5 years already.
