In this year's world cup, of the thirty two countries fourteen are from Europe, almost half of all the countries at the world cup. How do they decide on the number of countries that should qualify per continent?

Does it have anything to do with the love for the game? And if does, does Europe love football more than other continents? In some continents, only one team qualified in a group - the one that finished on top. In some continents however, two to three teams qualified.

Can someone clear this confucion.

It's kinda simple. Europe has alot of countries which gives it a better chance to qualify in the World Cup. And also Europe's countries have very good soccer players. An example is England, England is one of the best soccer teams. England can beat brazil and Argentina and win the World Cup. All because it has good soccer players. So Europe has more countries and good soccer players.

Sure its simple Europe is the home of Football/Soccer. Most clubs that these teams play for are in England and other european countries. In Europe people play soccer as much as we play NFL football or basketball. They play from a young age and they continue to play. It is in there past too their ansectors also played soccer. There are much less players of soccer in other countries including the US. Also Europe has the most countries.North America has 3 major plus like tiny islands.South America only Brazil, Ecaudor and Argentina play well. Austrlia is a country and a continent. Asia/Middle East Iraq and afganistan is at war. Russia lost all those Soviet union countries. All the other countries either hate soccer or hate us accept Japan.

at the moment there are 205 communities that were rated by ability of FIFA. All of those communities are area of their region's federation and so, all have the skill to take area in the qualification procedure. although, no longer all the 205 communities take area for countless causes. There are also 2 communities which have become individuals as of September 12 2005. those are East Timor and Comoros. They were no longer area of the qualification procedure for Germany 2006 because the approach were began a lot in the previous. although they're going to be eligible to compete to participate in destiny international Cups.
