try attracting the attention to the top without being revealing...i personally really like the square tops, that way you aren't showing a whole lot but it still draws attention upwards...adding some really interesting necklaces/earrings (just not any really long necklaces because then you'll focus down farther), making your hair look nice helps. also the empire thing, as aforementioned, helps minimize the bottom part of your upper half...it also depends what she is wearing for pants/ a skirt, and where she is going for her date...but you should be able to find something that works just about anywhere with some of the suggestions here...hope this helps.

Try a halter top with an empire waist line (the seam right under your boobs) that flows out a little. The halter will be a little sexy without being revealing, and its getting warmer (depending on where you are). And the babydoll style top will hide the waist line a little while still being girly and flirty.
OR try something that looks like the link below.

Well girl, I have some extra unwanted weight on my mid section too. My biggest suggestion would be to go with a solid black shirt. You can find all sorts of cute styles and black can be dressed up so glamorous with accessories without over-doing it. I always feel more comfortable and it hides that pooch. :-) Almost all of us have it, so we might as well do what we can to be comfortable with it. Nothing too loose fitting because that will just make her look larger, but not too tight either.

Try a cami that has an empire-line waist cut (that is to say, cut right below the bust). It will show some skin without looking slutty and will be very attractive in the way that it will hide her middle. I wear camis like those all the time!

Black is the best color but during the daytime not as practical.
Empire cuts are great bust enhancers and the waistline is blended into the hips.
For a more complete wardrobe quick fix it never hurts to go back to the trusty girdle, but it has improved since mom's days.

an empire waist shirt or dress that is a halter maybe?? I think that would be cute. Or try a looser shirt or dress and put a belt at the smallest part of her waist to make her look smaller! These things work!
Good Luck!

try a black top that shows off her chest... something with a nice neckline and maybe designs or something at the top. Basically anything that wont attract attention to the middle.
