because it sends endorphins into you blood stream and in some people it gives them sort of a high and they just can't wait to get another one. others the effect is lesser. depends on the person. most that get a tatoo however end up getting more then one. hope this helped

when your body experiences pain it sends out natural pain killers called endorphins. for a very painful experience like tatooing it sends out a lot of the endorphins and your body remembers it and wants to do it again. the same thing happens with runners. they get a runners high from all the endorphins their body sends out.

I dunno, but the minute after I finished my first one, I was craving a second. Could be that you are doing something potentially rebellious, like if your parents said no, or you could enjoy the pain. Personally, I enjoy the pain the tatto gives- it's like a good hurt, a very relieving and satisfying pain. But then again...who knows.
