Sometimes the questions are so stupid (or the people asking them make themselves sound so stupid), that people just naturally dumb down their answers because they want to make sure they will be understood.
I mean seriously, half the questions on here, people with a basic school education really shouldnt need to ask. I've only been using this website for a few days and the sheer idiocy of some people on here disturbs me.
And yes, I'm sure i sound incredibly smug and condescending.

Sometimes the same question gets old. Sometimes (me personally) can't help but throw in a smart *** answer. Sometimes people are in it for the points.
But I wanna know: answers on any topic are welcome so why are many question so smug or condescending?

Sometimes the questions are presented in such a way as to invite a smug or condescending answer.
Some people are just jerks as well.

Its simply because alot of folks have an inferiority complex so it makes them feel better when they put others down. Too, they got lotsa time on their hands.
