No, your processor speed is not related to your internet connection. Your computer processor only processes data on your computer;your modem does all the work related to the internet. If you have dial-up, your isp compresses internet data in order to send it over your phone line. When this data reches your computer, your modem decompresses it and your web browser displays it on your screen. If you have DSL (Digital Subscriber Line), this compression/ decompression doesn't happen, enabling the connection to be faster. Sorry, but dial up can only get so fast.

I too have dial up for my internet connection and to tell u the truth...a faster processor helps a little bit... I just had my computer upgraded to a processor that is half the speed of what my old one was...and it also depends on if your computer has a lot of programs running at the time, that could be making it run slower...go into task manager and see what programs are running and if whatever programs are running...also how much space, and memory do u have on your system..!? All that makes a dfference.!! I hope that I have helped answer you question.!!

Yes, it probably would make the web searching load faster, since most 56kbs modems only run at about 15 kbs with entry-level processors. but the price you pay for the better processor might be more than that of the price to get DSL or cable, maybe. Shop around first.

Not really, all the searching is done on the web and your dial up connection will make the transmission of the data from the net to your computer slow.

Hi, If you got a better processor it would make your pc's performance better but it would not make much of a difference to your Web speed.
Broadband would increase the speed of the internet on your pc.
