The NON CRITICAL updates from Microsoft will often have all of the driver updates for your hardward. The traditional updates are only for the O/S, the optional updates are for your hardware.

Also, if you are NOT HAVING problems with your computer NEVER UPDATE THE BIOS!!!! Anyone who tells you otherwise is dead wrong!! if it aint broke don't fix it!!!

If you have a custom build computer get the updates for the Motherboard/Video card etc... form the Manufacturer ie. Abit, ASUS, NVIDIA, ATI...and so on.

I have a dell and if you leave it running all the time it will prompt you every so often for updates. There is also under programs/dell support/check now this will make it run the update program

Check on your computer manufacturer's website. For example, if you have a Dell, go to http://supoprt.dell.com .
Beware that this may not be necessary since Windows usually includes updated drivers.
Remember, if ain't broke, don't fix it.

Those updates are for dell products, like printers, cameras, and scanners, If you don't have any other products from dell, which you use with your computer, then to keep your computer up-to-date just go to http://www.windowsupdate.com

Just download the latest drivers from Dell and install them. Simple as that.

Go to http://support.dell.com/

Under popular support tools enter your computer model and select Drivers & Downloads

For manufacturer updates, always go to their site.

P.S. I agree with the others. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." BIOS updates can mess up the computer so be careful.
