Aruba is my favorite (no hurricanes, almost guaranteed perfect weather every day). I also like Curacao (another Dutch island near Aruba), St. Thomas, USVI, and St. John, USVI, St. Maarten (Dutch Side), and Grand Cayman. You should take a cruise so you can explore a few different islands, then, when you find one you really like, you can go back and stay there.

i love St Lucia, Bonaire, and St Maarten. Bonaire is gorgeous, even though it really is quite a barren region island. no longer a ton to do except you're hoping to easily lay on a sea coast and snorkle/scuba. St. Lucia is better busy and between the most captivating of the islands. aspects of Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed there. pleasant human beings and captivating region. In St. Maarten, I loved the no difficulty ecosystem and the beachfront bars. It has grown somewhat better risky over the perfect 10 years, yet by ability of being wise (as in any commute), those disadvantages are minimized.

I have traveled quite a bit in the Caribbean, my favorite places would be the U.S. Virgin Islands St. Thomas, St. John and Aruba.
These islands are easy to navigate driving, great food, wonderful people, beautiful hotels, fantastic beaches both public and private. Aruba uses U.S. currency as well as the Virgin Islands...Virgin Islands has a great ferry system if you like to "Island- Hop". On Aruba I've stayed at a great All-Inclusive hotel resort right on the beach called Divi-Beach resort, we rented a jeep and explored the island, great snorkeling at Baby Beach. St. John has great snorkeling at Trunk Bay.

St. Barts if you are rich. Very classy and still exotic. St. Thomas is nice too. Still American, they use dollars, but very nice and feels like you are in a forgien country. You are just a ferry ride away from St. Johns too.
