It depends on how you look at it. In 3D space the earth is an oblate sphere. In 2D space it is a circle and in 1D space it is a line. In 4D space it is flat.

I 'belive' that the 'eart' is an oblate spheroid - slightly squashed toward the poles.
The gravitational acceleration we measure with respect to a coordinate system fixed to a point on the equator is reduced by the centripetal acceleration of the coordiate system defining its circular motion.
In other words, the earth bulges at the equator due to 'centrifugal force'.
If you question the roundness of the earth, I would suggest goiing to, say, Borneo. From there, comence walking, running, biking, driving, boating or flying either West or East. Keep going. Keep going.
With a little persistence, attention to detail, and appropriate inoculations for tropical diseases, you will magically find yourself right back in Borneo.

No.
It is actually a little egg shaped. The Souther Hemisphere is slightly fatter than the North.
Following 40 deg. S latitude around the Earth is a longer trip than following 40 deg. N latitude.

the earth is round, or more technically, elliptical. if it wasn't then the oceans would empty themselves into space. there would be no center of gravity, so everything would be floating around. there would be no atmosphere, day or night, moon, or anything because 1 there would be nothing for the moon to revolve around 2 there would be constant day or constant night because it would have no axis to spin on and life would not be able to inhabit it. 3 there would be no atmosphere because again with no center of gravity, the molecules that make up air would not be able to hold onto the surface.

No earth is not perfectly round in shape its oval in shape because of the flat at the two poles.

I believe the earth is actually oblong, like an egg shape.
thats why you see the mast first when a ship emerge from horizon
thats why you see a rounded shadow when you watch a moon eclips
Thats why when you fly to other countries time changes

The earth is spherical in shape. However, due to its spin (it's going along at approx 450 meters per second at the equator), it bulges in the middle and is a little flattened at the poles.

The earth? It's elliptical because the rotation of the earth causes it to bulge out along the equator and shrink near the poles.
