The late Charles M. Jones was an artist and director of animation, starting with Warner Brothers Studios where he produced some of the most memorable "Looney Tunes" classics.
Later he left Warner for MGM, taking over the already well-established "Tom and Jerry" from William Hanna and Joseph Barbara, who had left MGM to form their own studio. Although his "Tom and Jerry" work never quite lived up to the standards he had set at Warner, nor up to the older Hanna-Barbara T-&-J classics, he still created quite a few good laughs - considerably more than did the wretched Gene Dietch who assumed the "Tom and Jerry" helm afterwards.
The Chuck Jones Studio and Animation Museum can be found in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Directed cartoons. See his autobiography "Chuck Amok!" Considered by many (myself included) to be the best animation director of the 20th century. Just look at his work with Looney Tunes (What's Opera Doc? Duck Amok) and his work with the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. He as an excellent artist as well, as were practically all the old-time animation directors. He never did any voicework, however. The primary source voice for most of the Looney Tunes is Mel Blanc, with some additional work by a female voice talent whose name escapes me.
