The economy would go to hell and riots and civil unrest would plaque the cities and the government would be overthrown by rednecks (because of they're gas guzzling 4x4s) industries would shut down from lack of energy and people would starve and the black plaque would engulf the world and all will die except bill gates who will be the only 1 able to afford a respirator to keep from catching the plaque....

There could be a book written on that question.
The best word I can find is chaos. There are not enough horses to fill the demand for all needed, and most wouldn't get proper care.
I think it's time the government opened their sealed vaults and allowed the people to benefit from old inventions they stopped from being used.

we would have much less money to spend on other things,yes of course bikes in good weather, mass transportation,boats and sharing rides when possible. I think we are intelligent enough not to start riots and unrest. There will be alternatives in cars and fuels.We need faith to go through difficult times. We are a nation of inventors entrepreneur's and we trust God to be with us and help us come out of it all.

All the fat people would lose weight. Bike companies would make billions. Rich people would spit on poor people becasue they couldn't afford gas.
People will kill each other for gas.

basically we would all die. No one will have a job that requires travel. all commodities in the stores will be at an all time high no one could afford to purchase. We would be stealing and robbing and killing. so sad!! I do not want to think about it. But let's think about this....what would you do for your family???

`the rich would continue to drive as they please and the poor people would ride bikes. and everything you buy will cost 3 times as much as it does now because things have to be shipped around and that uses lots of gas.
