I don't know it's about hormones levels. And also by this age, we are not caught up in trying to have children and get married because if it hasn't happened by now, we have learned to deal with. Also, life brings about changes in the way you think about different things especially sex. At 35-45, you are now ready to do all the wild things that you didn't do when you were younger.

Want an honest answer? I am nearly the same age as you and I can understand that you need a partner. The age difference is okay now, but when she is 50 (nice age for a woman), she will be stuck with an old man. So, do not only think about yourself, but also what her future would look like. Age is a terrible thing. At 70 your active lifestyle will be gone, and her's would have started. Just one comment. The 2 of you are great friends now. Isn't it perhaps true that your baggage fell in love with her baggage?

Im asking that same question/why do I attract young men???why? I end up with one 2 years younger never see the diff then 4 years younger people thought he was older than me, then I met this one 10 years younger and people noticed the diff of couple of years and now I met this one who is 11 years younger...what ****????is not like Im picking by their age....this last one thought when he first saw me I was like his age.....GOD!!!!!!
I mean sex got nothing 2 do with it....they all have wanted a relation with me....and I end up being happier with younger than older.....cause sometimes there more sincere...the older they get the "player" and insensible they become.....wich is horrible

My girlfriend is 48, 10 years older then I and she is very sexual, affectionate and open-minded. I totally love her, and I consider myself very lucky.
