I say that all the time. I have to have a license and training to drive a car. I had to go to college to teach children. Yet we give these idiot people permission to have children and then let them completely screw them up. Parents should have to go through parenting classes and training. Give them the worst kid you can find for the weekend and if they were good to that kid then maybe let them have children of their own.

Nothing that we can change, but having children (be fruitful and multiply) was one of the commands that God gave Adam and Even in the garden. Yes, we have some parents who are performing their duties and roles as good parents and yes, we have become a society whereby the attitudes of parenting have changed. We are a society about 'giving' kids what they want to pacify them, rather tan teach them. And because many of the mothers and fathers who are having babies are so young themselves, have very little to offer their children. (if you don't finish school, it's going to be very hard for you to help your child when they start school and get past the grade you missed.) Television and videos are raising our kids. Since we can't band people from having kids, we pray that good parents who are willing are out there to help love those children without parents. We also hope that we are teaching our children to wait before they make the decision to have sex and yes, love is love but I am of the persuasion that God had a plan for man and woman to multiply and fill the earth.

Well, if people had to get a permit to have kids, the number of children put up for adoption would drop to zero, so that would solve that issue right there.
But I don't agree about the permit. We have to ask government approval for far too many things already. And how would you enforce it? Forced abortions for unauthorized pregnancies? Pregnancy police checking the permits of random pregnant women on the street? It's not practical and it violates common decency and basic human rights.

I agree, some people, and ive seen this, dont care about their kids, and yet i see at the other end those parents who are urging to have a child and they cant have any. We should create a program like this, yet honestly i dont think it would suceed, people are so ignorant they wouldnt understand the whole purpose, then, there wouldnt be way of controlling this measure, women would still be able to have children whenever... you should watch the movie Gattaca, not the one with berry, but the sci-fi one, its really close to this theme

Interesting point of view. I personally thought adding birth control to the drinking water would be nice.
But a permit isn't a bad idea either.
You views n adoption are also good. Love is love and a safe happy home beats none at all

I totally agree, raising a child is way more serious than driving a car or opening a business, if you need a permit to do these two, you should need a permit that guaranteed you are going to be a decent parent.

yes! some people are just not fit to be parents. i mean we test people before we allow them to drive cars. it should be the same way with certain pets and children. also, homosexual couples in some situations are more suited to care for children and our society is discriminating against these couples because of what? outdated christian morals? its not right

You've made a distinct contradiction.. if love is love, then everyone should be allowed to concieve. If according to you, love is love, then nobody should need a permit to create another Human being out of love.
