Colortyme put the merchandise in my home and then went out of business 3 months later.Rent a center took over their accounts. Can they get me for theft if Colortyme put the merchandise in here or do I have to give it back. We got no notification that they went out of business. We did not know until RAC started calling.

You still have a contract and are still bound by the terms of that contract. Since RAC now owns that contract, they have the right to enforce the contract. In many states it is considered theft to keep rental merchandise without making the required payments. You need to either make the payments or return the items. The fact that they delivered the items changes nothing.

Call the Better Business Bureau. If not see if they could direct you where to go.
