You have to sign out of mail, then click on yahoo answers! When it asks you to sign in you can chose wether or not to show your avatar.

I have tried using the help function with yahoo answers with no luck. I am sure there are enough whizzs to help you.

Simply go to yahoo messanger verion. Click on options and you will get it.
