One thing about pigs, they are not picky eaters. Table scraps, banana peels, apples, orange rinds, all this is exceptional for pigs to eat. Never ever feed them bones of any kind. They can easily lodge them in their throats and die. Another thing they love is ears of corn. You can either give them the actual corn or you could cut the corn from the cob and feed them the cobs. They will eat bread or crackers and like I said most everything. You can also go to a Feed Store and pick up a bag or too of Pig Food that comes in the form of pellets.

Do you have a shady area where they can get into that will provide comfort for them when the sun is hot? Do you have a ample supply of straw for them to bed down in? Preferrably in the shady area? Don't forget to supply fresh water to them every day or every other day. Do they have troughs? They should, so you can put their food into it.

Reminder: You need to provide fresh straw everyday and their places cleaned everyday too.

Good luck to you and I hope I was helpful!

pigs are NOT vegetarians! They can will and have eaten things smaller than themselves...slow chickens etc.
Table scraps is fine but that alone is not a good diet. You didn't say if these are pet potbelly pigs or "real pigs" (livestock sized). Better bet is feeding corn with a protein supplement available at feed stores. I'd REALLY question raising them in the yard...you wont like the results in 4-5-6 months.

Although you can feed pigs table scraps it is not the best option for you or them! The easiest way for them to get all the nutrients that they need is to buy a pelleted ration. You can get this at a feed mill or livestock supply store.

They make pig chow and you can feed them table scraps and pigs do eat meat. They will eat almost anything.
Try calling your local feed store and see what they have available.

My grandfather raised pigs & fed them corn & slop. The pot belly my kids had when they were little, loved vegetables except for squash. He would come running across the field or yard when we hollered "Wilbur, watermelon!" He'd eat the pink & stop, hated the rhine.
