Who says it's not happening now. Look at the development of allergies and immune system responses to the environment. These things were relatively rare until meds came along and now it's becoming more and more common.

We're still evolving now. Evolution never stops - it just happens slowly so it's not easy to watch in action (unless you're looking at organisms that reproduce insanely fast, such as bacteria).
As to how we're evolving, there are a few things about humanity that still need working on. The spine for example - the human spine is still not perfectly developed to support walking on two legs (hence why backaches are still common). Then there's also the issue of wisdom teeth, which are no longer necessary in the human jaw (and some people are born that never develop wisdom teeth - a possible sign of what's to come). And there are some other things that we can't predict. Evolution depends on environmental factors as well, which we can't predict or control.

Evolution never stops. Just because we are not a different species doesn't mean that we aren't far different from our ancestors who lived 90,000 years ago. And As far as when will we become another species? That's incredibly hard to tell. I think that genetic engineering could dramatically increase evoltuion speed if ever used on humans, and many other fatcors, such as the environmnet affect evoltuion. For example, if it weren't for some massivie, unknown disaster (scientiists think that it was a volcanoe or several volcanoe erruptions) in the past humans would be much more genetically differese today, because that limited our population.

It is true that the Human species is continuing to evolve, but evolution is based on the concept of nature selection. In a basic explaination, nature selection is when an organism is favored (having the better traits) over the rest of the population. These favored traits will continue to increase in frequency because they will allow the organism to survive, reproduce and pass the favored traits. In my opinion the next "big evolution" that will be evident will be appearance of a natural resistance to a viruses. My rationale is that the evolution of physical features take thousands of generations to appear and will not be seen in our life time. At the micro level of analysis the human species will continue to evolve at a much faster rate.

We are evolving but actually it could be called devolving people seem to becoming more stupid and ignorant, just look at the news international or local how many times do you hear or say "this never used to happen or be this bad", when you here of a group of people not doing their jobs properly, or are being really stupid
eg:- The Home office in Britain letting dangerous prisoners go or escape, or pedophiles living in halfway house near schools etc.
I'm sure you can think of other examples....

It could happen, but there's nothing that would guarantee it. I'd say we already have several intelligent species - whales and elephants, and of course the other great apes, in addition to humans. It might not be the same level of intelligence as humans, but in time that could certainly change. It also wouldn't suprised me if a hive creature such as ants developed an intelligence.

Ask God.
Perhaps we're done. Perhaps we are evolving and it's happening on such a scale that we don't see it. For instance, look at the size of people during the civil war. Abraham Lincoln was a massive figure at 6'4". I could look him in the eye.
