If he is over weight he may need to loose a few pounds. Or he may need to be checked for a sleep disorder. If he only snores when he's on his back, make him wear a shirt with a big button sewn on the back so it will make him turn on his side when he is sleeping.

My mom couldn't stand my Step-dads snoring (REALLY LOUD)
so for Christmas she got him those strip things that go on your nose and open up his sinuses and she says it really works. One day he forgot to wear them and my mom said she barely got any sleep.

keep a cup of water by your bed and if it gets really bad just throw it in his face,he wont be doing it again because it will subconsciously be on his mine and when he starts shouting and moaning at you just pretend that you was having a dream.

Either use earplugs or gently nudge him to get him to roll over. My grandmother gently tugs grandpa's leg hair with her toes, it works for her.
