Talk to the band or orchestra director at your school and ask if he or she could let you play around with some of these intstruments after school one day.

You can always change your mind after a few weeks if you rent an instrument instead of buying one right away.

You might also try more than one at once if its possible.

Well, what are your long term goals? Think about that. Whatever instrument you decide to learn, I wish you the best of luck. Just remember that in order to be a good musician, it's going to take lots of practice. Not a once a week practice either. Commit to your instrument, and practice daily. You'll be surprised how good you get in a short amount of time. The more you practice, the more you'll learn. And the more you'll learn, the more you'll want to practice.

You need to try these instruments out, asking other people will do you no good at all.

After you do choose an instrument, you need to take private lessons - you will learn the most by having one-on-one lessons, not being in a band.
