Ask youself, do I want a mortgage if I do not have a job lined up? I would assume the move is related to a new job. If so, you will not have nay issues getting a loan. I can get someone financed with no money in the bank, no job, if they have a 680 credit score. No Doc loan are available if you have good credit and some money to put down.

Get the financing before you leave your current job. Apply for the loan as a second home. Make sure your mortgage broker has a license to write a loan in the state you are moving to.

Maybe, it all depends upon your current financial situation. It would be best to get the loan prior to leaving your current job but every case is unique. If you have significant resources it may be entirely possible to get a loan without a current job especially if you have a stable work history.

No. You would have to be employed for at least 6 months, preferably in the same field as now, and you should have been in your current job for at least 3 years.
