Unfortunately, this will only end when there are no people left on the Earth to argue about this. People, particularly men, do this because they are scared, narrow-minded, and ultimately, are bound by their fragile egos to lower and ridicule others who dare to take a single step that is different from those of the mainstream. I have known quite a few people who've been subjected to this sort of stupidity. Babies will always be beaten, women will always be traumatized, and people who dare to have entered this world looking, feeling, acting or thinking differently will always have a battle to fight just to live their lives as they want to.

I don't think that it will ever end. There will always be some people out there and try and find way or make up reasons to make others suffer. The thing to remember is that it is not everyone that acts this way. And yes actually when I was really little in an area of Pensacola (where i use to live) there was a man that was beat up and almost killed just because he looked like he might be gay. And I have a friend who is gay and he was leaving work one night and these 2 guys came out of nowhere and starting hitting him with pipes saying things like "stupid f**" I am a Christian but I don't go around judging people like some Christians do.

I don't think the hate crimes are going to stop, because people do not take it seriously. The reason people attack homosexuals, because they are different, and some people do not want to except them. No I have never been a victim of a hate crime and neither the people that I know was hurt.

As long as this earth endures there will be intolerant and vicious people. As a christian I believe that it is satan's greatest glee to see "Christians" inflict pain. That said I must state that TRUE Christians do not behave this way. A person who's life, heart, and mind is in tune with God while not condoning a persons choice still is kind to the person. I sincerely believe there will come a time very soon when the Lord will put an end to all pain and hate. In the meantime we must endure. While I believe that homosexuality is an aberrant behavior that doesn't keep me from having both male and female homosexual friends.

It is unfortuate that today so many people think this is ok or just be who you are. I understand that they are easily led and thats sad. It has not, nor never will be a question of education. I dont know what school or education some of these answers come from but i do have a doctorate and of course i was taught better by friends and parents. I am educated but it would never change what is right and wrong
It is embarassing to me that some of these people seem to think this lifestyle is acceptable. Sad, sad day !
I would never harm a gay person just for that reason so i dont condone that behavior but an open minded, educated person could see where the anger comes from

WHY? People fear what they don't understand, and often that fear is translated into hate. It doesn't excuse what they do by any means, but it might explain it a little.
WILL IT EVER END? Maybe one day, when people begin to realize their way of life isn't being threatened.
I personally have never known anyone who has been a victim of a hate crime, not a real CRIME, but I do know people who receive unjust treatment due to hate.

No it will never end I think people do such things out of ignorance (lack of knowledge) and fear of the unkown. Yes I have I've had a black woman call me a honkey ***** because I tried charging her for something she wanted to buy her son go figure. Anyways I was 16 I'm over it why because not all people are like she was.

1. no it will never change unless we do something to change it. for people to stop teaching hatred to children or passing down long lines of hatred from the past generations that will be the only way we can stop it. also harsher punishment for those that are out there committing these crimes would also help.
2. they were brought up around hatred, around people who didn't like a race, a gender, or had a bias about someone or something.
3. yes, my grandmother was killed by a hate group. my dad was only 19 years old, my grandmother felt she raised him, now she would be able to live her own life and do her own things. at the time it was not acceptable for people to be open about being gay, but, she was seen out of her kitchen window (by someone peeping in) kissing her female lover. needless to say, the person was a member of a hate group, they went that night chained her up and her lover with her in the bedroom and set the house on fire.
i was born six months after this happened.

I did a school project on homosexual hate crimes in the Holocaust, and I got a lot of snickers when I presented it. My project was one of the best in the class, so I got to also present it to a few other younger aged classes, and they also made rude remakrs about it afterwoard. Not that I'm homosexual, but I do respect their rights,a nd I think its stupid that people are hateish.
People are so mean. I think when people see osmething that is different from what we classify "normal" they automaticaly freak out and think that its wrong, becasuse its not the way most people act.
Personaly, I think its a load of bull and really needs to stop.
