First of all don't worry about grades because im sure a lot of people dummer than you have passed highschool and are doing what they love. And if half of the people are new than you have another half of people which you already know. And im posative that you can make new friends and everything. All you have to do is not worry about it enjoy your summer and do some summer programs (local clubs, like the YMCA or basketball camps or something you enjoy) where you can meet people, and who knows the people you meet may even go to school with you next year.

O and one more thing, I think that freshman year goes by faster than any other grade. Today was my last final and Im all done but it only felt like i've been going to school for a month. Trust me you'll enjoy it just don't worry about it now, that'll ruin your summer,...... and notice that there are no negetive answers.

Here are some tips that helped me during my Freshman year:
1. Don't hang out with the upperclassmen. It doesn't make you look cool or older, it makes you look desperate for both attention and popularity. Besides which, most upper classmen don't want a thing to do with a Freshman.
2. Don't date the upperclassman, mostly because it will only result in you getting used and hurt. A lot of upperclassmen guys use the younger girls as practice, or as a new toy. You'll be tricked into them thinking they love you, so that false state of love will make you do things you'll regret later on.
3. Stay with the Freshman class, because a lot of upperclassmen aren't going to be happy when you try making friends with their friends.
4. Don't get in the way in the halls, don't walk 2 miles an hour and stop in the hall to talk to friends ect. I hated it when the Freshman walked slow in the halls, and talked to their friends, and had big group meetings in the middle of the hall. LUNCH IS FOR FRIENDS. HALLS ARE FOR CLASS.
5. Life isn't about popularity and being the most popular girl in your grade, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THAT. Focus on school, whether it means being called a nerd or not. IT'S JUST A LABELPEOPLE USE BECAUSE THEY ARE INSECURE!

Algebra or Geomerry Spanish l or French l (and so on) ADV Social analyze path (American history) Adv technological understanding path English l fantastic artwork credit (Band is often exciting) actual Ed/wellness (If mandatory) (If no longer then you definately've yet another non-compulsory) non-compulsory (Photographics became an incredible classification) wish this helped! FYI a important sort of the ADV training are an entire comedian tale so in case you decide directly to circulate to collegeand make yourslelf look greater useful. Take ADV Social analyze and ADV technological understanding training. additionally then ADV Math and English training may well be brutal. do no longer take them till you're some wizard at those matters. I found out that the no longer trouble-free way.

Here is the advice I should have taken and the advice you probably won't listen to.

1. Do your homework - It doesn't seem important now, but your grades and your committment to school will totally impact your life later. I'm sure you are tired of people telling you that, and I know you aren't thinking about college, but you will wish that you did better if you don't try hard. School is not a "game" and you don't win by not doing your homework and simply by passing classes. Your teacher is not your enemy. School is a place for you to learn to be an adult, to learn things you can't learn anywhere else.

2. Make friends - I'm sure you have some already, but the friends you make in high school can become your friends for life. Find people you like hanging out with, not people you hang out with because it makes you cool. No one will care how cool you were in high school after you graduate, and anyone who does care is the real loser. Make friends that fit in with your world view, don't change yourself to be "popular".

3. Don't worry about boys - There will always be boys, and believe me it will be a lot easier to date and to juggle boys and school in college. I'm not saying don't date, I'm just saying that you can't let a boy change the course of your life. Date if you want, but don't be serious about high school relationships, the sad truth is that they won't really last. As an addition to this, when you have sex for the first time, make sure it is with someone you care about and please use a condom, no matter what he says.

4. Get into sports - You will have a blast if you find an activity that you like and that includes people you like. If your friends run track, give it a try. As an addition, go to dances, go to senior night, get involved.

5. Don't do drugs/drink - there will be plenty of time for that in college.

6. No one cares about high school after high school - nothing you do in high school except the friends you make and the grades you make will affect you after you graduate. You will remember the good times if you have good times.

As I say, I know this advice will go unheeded because it is supsiciously adult and adults are the enemy. This advice will go against what other kids think and tell you because this advice is for the long term, this advice is for the future and you are very concerned with the NOW, but keep it in mind.

Well, I am just finishing my Freshman year this week. If I could give some advice, I would take advantage of the chance to meet new people. I met some people from another town at my High School, and now they are some of my best friends. Take advantage of all the good times you have with your friends and enjoy the laid-back Freshman year.

i was a freshman this last year (going to be a sophmore)..i came form a small private which i had attended my whoel life. i admit it was scary at first but then like after the first day i made all these friends plus had soem friends that came form my old school too.everone was very welcoming and if you ever needed anything most of the uperclassmen were willing to help. dont sweat it at all...go to the football games, get involved in a sport ,run for studnet council, put your self out there..but REMEMBER dotn tyr to be part of the "in" crowd and dont get sucked ion to peer pressure cuz if you make mistakes freshman year like that youll have a reputation for the rest of high school and it can really ruin high school so watch out for driking freshman year adn drugs also watch out for the upperclas men who just wanna get some(they arent ALL liek that ..but there are some)

ok- coming out of my freshman year i have the basic rules for u.
1) stay away from uppers. they do not want to be your friend for the most part. if you know a few uppers wait for them to talk to u- dont' go up and start bothering them. they do not like u (sounds harsh, but honestly, their friends are probably MUCH cooler...). you are a FRESHMAN. accept it.
2) don't date older guys. two reasons- the guys are probably sleazy dorks anyways who are desperate to get laid and the girls (upper and freshman alike) will think you're a skank.
3) DO NOT ACT LIKE SOMETHING YOU'RE NOT. please. if you come from a nice upstanding family with a big house do NOT i repeat DO NOT dress like you're "ghetto" or "gangsta" or anything else foolish like that. please. you're just making a fool of yourself. oh- and acting all emo can get on people's bad side too. so watch your style if u don't wanna die young.
4) DO NOT just stand around in the halls and chat with your little buddies between classes. everyone has places to be. you are in everyone's way. it may not end well for you.
5) don't do drugs. and if u feel like you have to then you need some kind of reality check. trust me- a lot of my friends started up this year- it is not cool. just avoid it.
6) be yourself. but dont' try so hard. being loud and obnoxious is not being yourself- if it is, try and do something to keep that under control... you don't wanna p*ss off the uppers.
XD
good luck...

dont drop out. the teacher will treat you like adults cuz guess what when you graduate your an offical adult. and lastly enjoy these years it's almost over and when you become independent and have to worry about money and paying bills your gonna beg to go to math class again.
