Jack Nicholson would be hard to top, so I'd go the other way and try to sign Andy Dick. He's crazy in a funny way, as opposed to Jack Nicholson's just-plain-old-crazy routine... its hard to be crazier than Jack.

That is a hard question to answer. I know we were teased with the possibility that the joker may be featured in the next movie, but that isn't a for sure thing. They probably want to feature new characters instead of ones they have used already.I would like to see clayface in a Batman movie, but I'm not sure if it can be done. Hmmm, who to play the joker? How about Tim Curry. Caesar Romaro was always funny with his English accent, that could be a good way to go.

dang! i was going to say jack nicholas! how about somebody like phillip seymour hoffman? he doesn't come right out and strike a person as a good joker, but he is such a good actor i bet he could pull it off extremely well.
and for the jim carey suggestions...did you see the batman movie he was already in? it was horrible. i actually left the theater because it was so bad.

I'm with the people that said Jack Black or Tim Curry. Jim Carrey was already the Riddler. It wouldn't be right to have him play Joker too.

Obviously they will look for someone who is more sinister as opposed to the cartoonish feel of previous Batman films (they were great, don't misunderstand me...) I have heard the rumors about Crispin Glover and agree that he would make a vicious and interesting caricature for the Joker.

No contest Mark Hamill, just listen to the joker in the animated series. The bigger question is will they write in a Harley? and who will play her?
