I have a 2 year old guinea pig that I can't keep anymore. I live in the Boston area, do you know of anyone who would take her in? Or what I should do?

I have a PigPig looking for a home too - we're in Peabody. We still have our pig, I've been very, very selective about giving him away (i'll miss him)!

Here's some things to try if you're in a hurry to place a pig:
1. Craigslist - it helps if all his stuff is going w/ him too
2. Word of mouth - especially to people w/ elementary school kids.
3. Post a flyer at your local schools. (that's how I got this pig to begin with).
4. Petco has a bulletin board in it's entrance - you could post there.
5. Local public farms sometimes take a pig in - I"ve seen them rooming w/ rabbits before
6. There are public bulletin boards at most grocery stores - the YMCA and library.

Good luck to you - and your pig.

call a humane society and see if they can find a home for your guinea pig or put an ad in the paper free guinea pig to good home.

Put an ad up in the supermarket. Lots of moms might like to give their kids an easy & cute pet.

Take her to a Petco or a Petsmart. Alot of times, they'll take them in and re-sell them. Or, sell her through the classifieds in your newspaper.

If you cannot keep your pet, then the responsible thing to do would be to take him/her to the humane society or animal shelter or other animal rescue.

Ill take her. I had one before. I live in New jersey. Do you have all the stuff for it? The cage, bottle for water, extra food, etc?
