Is to find your own purpose

Life is journey in two respects. The first is a evolutionary journey that has brought our existence out of the water. We have evlved from simple creatures into complex humans. The world is 7/10ths water and so are we. Second our minds are evolving as well. We become more and more complex as the years tic away. We become more conscious of various colors, feelings, thoughts, concepts and the like. We are moving towards love and this is the basis the universe works on. Find love and you will find the answer to anything. There have been people who have figured this out such as buddah, jesus, muhammad, and so on. We have 3 stages of consciousness. 1st is simple and that is what the animals are and what we used to be when we were cave men. This is the ability to know things but not analyze that you know you know things. We call these programmed responses. But then we evolve to self conscious creatures. We have the ability to know that we know things and can analyze them. In the bible when adam ate the applae what happened? Before he did that all he did all day long was run around naked and play. This is like the animals. But when he ate the applae he bgecam self conscious. He relaized he was nake and felt ashamed. This is self consciounsess. The next phase that our evolution is taking us to is what jesus accomplished and that can be called the kingdom of heaven, nirvahana, or whatever you want. It is to care for others more than everything else. This all follows teh theory of evolution. It gets phased in and phased out. It starts with a couple peopel possessing the trait, then the masses. But know this, heaven on earth is a literal concept. Not imaginative. This place we live on is a "grocery store" for everyone on it. NOT FOR THE RICH. We have to live in harmnony and balance with it or it will tell us we have gone to far. Take a look at one another and our relationship to the plannet and look at yourself and make a change. LIFE IS ABOUT LOVE!

As the Sage of Samos puts it, you should venture to "know thyself" or know who you are and what your strengths and weakness are. This was written on the temple of Delphi and is one answer to a most perplexing question.

Life is far simpler for those with religion, a deep culture and close knit family. It is also easier for people who come from countries where tradition and history is ancient. This is because it is not required to think and question ones existence when everything around us is seemingly the same and everyone is doing the same thing.

One could say that your purpose in life in a wealthy western country is to go to school, work, have a family and die. As this is what many people do. But of course that is perhaps far too simplistic.

Purpose in life is something that we can create for ourselves if we are fortunate enough to have enough leisure time to be sitting on our assses in front of a computer playing around on the Yahoo questions site. But some people do not have such luxury.

The starving must find food. The addicted must find drugs. The diseased must find a cure. The lost must find an answer. Those in war torn countries must hide and flee.

And so ultimately the answer may be one that is relative to the individual and his or her own societal, economic and geograpphic location.

You may decide that your purpose is to search for the most meaningful answer to this question. Others give up. Each philosopher tries to explain existence. Scientists do this. Theologians do this too. And so we have philosophy, religion and science all working to answer this conundrum.

If you have faith you know your purpose. If you do not than other things must suffice for this answer.

Personally I like to enjoy life if I can and be kind when I can. I like to care for myself and work on one project at a time. I like to learn. I also enjoy drinking a really good whisky and a trappiste ale. But I don't know what the purpose to life is. I just go at it one day at a time.

The way i see it, all that was and all that will be lives in it's own way, why shuld we question it? the creatures of this planet and maybe other planets and universes dont go around questioning why they are there they just live! and so shuld we.
We have been given are one and only chance on this earth, we shuld not waste it everyone is here for a purpose, thats are quest in life, we just have to find it, it's doesnt have to be a gr8 thing. smaller things are so much bigger.

So the only answer to this ever taxing question is... Just To Live!

The purpose of human life is to fulfil the purpose of the Divine. That is, to establish virtue and to eliminate vice.

"go ye therefor unto all the world, teaching all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father,Son and Holy Spirit."---- i think that is to be our purpose, leading others to God, and making the world a better place for those living here. There is none. Life is life. You live, you have children(probably), you die.

Everyone seeks a meaning to their life because its hard to imagine there is no meaning. Men create gods to resolve mysteries and to give their life meaning. Its easier to believe in a creator with a purpose for us all then to imagine life is, just because it is.

I have no idea. I think that as a person gets older, they find the meaning. Pray about it and ask God, if you are a Believer and He will show you the way.
