I haven't heard of that, but I know that cats and dogs can be allergic to fleas and ticks and they loose all their hair in the process.

I know this to be true. A good friend of mine knows someone who has a cat that is allergic to itself. She has to have the cat shaved, and he has to wear kitty clothing to stop him from having an allergic reaction and scratching itself raw. Oh Yeah it can and does happen. Weird but true

Of course, people can be allergic to other people if they put on too much perfume. So, a cat could be allergic to another cat if he put on too much capnip.

yes animals can be allergic to anything just like humans. I have a Rat Terrier who is allergic to grass

They can be allergic to the bacteria (usually the Staph) an their own skin. So I guess they are allergic to themselves.

seem at "search for for questions" on Y/A. put in hedgehog fleas. there'll be distinctive questions about hedgehogs and fleas, mites, & ticks. perchance you'll locate your answer. If no longer, verify with a vet or your medical specialist. you may attempt cortisone cream (on your dermis), yet when your puppy is infested with fleas, it gained't do a lot reliable.
