if i am qualified my insurance will cover it. i am pretty sure i am. but im scared i will get turned down and i really need one bad. i cant workout/run the weight makes my ribs all bruised, and i get bad lines from my bra straps ( i also have to wear 2 bras to support them) and my upper back has been killing me lately and i have really bad posture. what kind of things do they look to tell if your a good candidate? i really need my insurance to cover it. i dont have that kind of money to pay for one. i am a 38 DD but i fall out of my bras all the time. i know most girls get implants to my size but i cant stand it. they are not perky at all i have had 2 kids and they are no wheres near where they are suppose to be, i am going to be 21 in a few days , does it sound to anyone like i am a good candidate? also it is a major self confidence thing. i feel like people are always looking at me. its was in the 90's yesterday and i wore a tshirt with a zip up sweater jacket over it, ugh!

Thanks

There are a few things that they use to determine candidacy. They consider your height, weight, age, etc. They consider your back pain and how it's affecting your life. Then they consider how much they're going to take out. You have to meet a minimum of 300 CCs in each breast. If you are a DD, you will end up with a large B to small C, I would guess. I was a FF and I had 350 out of one breast and 450 out of the other and I'm a small C.

It sounds to me like you're a good candidate. I had all the same complaints that you had. I'm 4'10 and 110 pounds, so I'm also average, but was big chested. It will be the best thing you ever do for yourself and you will be thrilled with the results!

Good luck! Enjoy the new girls!

The people looking at you may be in your mind. You are buying the wrong bras. You should go get professionally sized. 38 DD is not that big, but you didn't indicate how tall you were or whether you were petite or large frame. If you are petite, I would imagine that that would be a little big. If you are a medium to large frame woman then that shouldn't be the problem. The right bra will fix all the hanging heaviness! It will also help with your back too. Have someone massage your back ever so often. Practice good posture. A lot of it is sub-conscious. You are afraid to sit and stand straight, because you think your boobs are too big, and everyone will notice. So you stand and sit slouched over to hide them. Stand and sit straight! Be happy that you have the boobs that most women would pay thousands of dollars for. If you do decide that you just can't take it no more then do what makes you feel best, but you probably will miss your boobs. The doctors will probably take you down to B cup, and if you decide to have more children since you are very young; then your breast will grow even more. You should at least try to wait until you are over 24, just in case you have more children. In the mean time do go to a wonderful bra sizer! Victoria Secret always has one on hand, but you will not be able to buy bras there because they do not carry your size. Just tell her that you just would like a number and cup size to work with so you can shop for the right bra. I hope this works for you, and really think hard about the surgery!

I think you sound like the perfect candidate. It is keeping your from leading a healthy/normal life. I would think you would be covered.
If you are not though there are some things you can do to help make yourself feel, at least somewhat, better.
I have the same problem only I have no insurance so I have no way to get a reduction. I am a 42D. What I did is went to Victoria Secrets and got measured for the proper size bra. (They will measure you for free) Part of the problem is women think they wear one size and in actuality they were a size different or are in the 1/2 sizes. More common than you might think.
Then buy a bra that is of GOOD quality and the proper size. Yes they are more expensive but not near as expensive as surgery. And it is amazing how different you will feel.
Also get a back brace. When you are standing or working wear it. It really helps.
And finally do exercises. Yes sounds odd because that builds muscles but it really does help them from feeling so heavy if you can make them perkier. The less they hang the less they pull on your body. My exercises include...laying on my back on the floor, knees bent with my hand on the edge of the couch. Lift your back a few inches off the floor and pull. Second exercise, the ole we must we must we must increase our bust routine. Stand straight up and swing your arms as far back as you can and then as far forward. Each exercise I do about 5 minutes every other day. It really does help
I hope you get the surgery. Good luck!!!!!

For the guy who said she is fat... hmmm so what?? Your ignorant and people put up with your crap. Grow up!

I'm in Canada, but a friend of mine had all the same symptoms and probably around the same chest size. She ended up being covered by insurance. If I had to take a guess I would say your a pretty good candidate especially because you are still young and having problems.

For above you sound like you might be a jerk why do you assume she's fat? And what does it matter?

Get your breast reduction surgery in India if you dont get covered here.Cosmetic Surgery (including facelift/ breast enhancement /reduction/tummy tuck./lipo) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .

My cousin got her cosmetic surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results.sHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. .hope this helps.I think she paid only 8000$ for the tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery for which she was quoted 22000 $ in USA.
