He's probably under contract to nike to wear those boots, so he has no choice.
But its a bad advert for nike that their boots are so soft and unprotective that he can break his foot that easily!

lol neither the fate of England or Man U rests on the foot of Rooney, so don't count out England from Euro 08 just yet. I don't see this being much of a problem for Man U. Man U will still end up at the top!
