I mean every time something happens both sides have a take on it and what they see as the truth... why cant they look at the situation and just see the truth rather than putting there spin on it! I am so sick of the f*cking bashing that goes on. I cannot say that I have not been apart of it at times, but really people do we really need to bicker and fight when the war is on and we should be united?

I am not talking about lying for the sake of the world... I am talking about actually trying to get a long. You can have your ideals and still not fight with people who are in disagreement. I think a lot of the politicians out there (along with many followers) are very childish. The name calling and the finger pointing is ridiculous.

Heather P,
That is the type of lack of maturity and intelligence I was talking about. Thank you for setting the example.

Disagree and debate all you like. Debate is actually a very healthy thing in a democratic society. The problem in America today is that it is impossible to engage in healthy debate because it rapidly degenerates into name calling. The simple fact is that neither side is completely right or wrong, there are good and bad points on both sides of every issue. What I cannot understand is the level of hate exhibited. Have we really devolved to the point where we can't even talk to each other like rational human beings anymore? Unfortunately it appears to be so, and the divide grows larger everyday.

Amen to that Cricket :)

I think liberal/conservative bickering is also the fault of the news media. On Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, news anchors purposely place Democrats or Republicans on screen to give their opinions on issues. Occassionally, they will also make suggestions that might anger the other side. And instead of arguing in a mature or approiate manner both sides go off on a screaming rampage. The anchor than has to play referee to calm the two sides down. Yes, the bickering is very irriatating but the media should also share some of the blame.

As a die hard liberal I have to say that appearing united when we really aren't would be a mistake. The whole point of living in a democracy is that we have the right to fight for what we think is the right thing. Without all this 'bickering' we would be a country based on lies. As long as people disagree, politics will disagree.

You should be sick of the corruption and vote accordingly.

As for the "bickering," it goes back to the formation of our nation. In fact, humans have been bickering since the beginning. According to the Bible, we even bickered with God--and I suppose we still do.

Our politics is angelic compared to the period between the ratification of the Constitution and the Civil War. Read about that. It will put a smile back on your face.

actually everyone i understand is ill of it. It replaced into once that divisive politics in reality went on in the course of the election season, from August by November of Olympic years. After the votes were counted, commentators and politicians would commentary that they were satisfied the election replaced into over and that civility would rule again. they might communicate about how Democrats and Republicans lunched mutually in Washington, how they went to a similar activities. television would cut again the political exhibits. The rantings of wing nuts were restricted to a static filled band on the AM radio, on the "bottom of the dial." This replaced into on the starting up of George HW Bush's administration, as Lee Atwater replaced into merely starting up to go away his mark. Election type politics were prolonged, as you understand to 12 months a 12 months, each 12 months, and the concepts are transforming into increasingly better juvenile. the worry now is this interest has made Democratic politicians into little ones who're frightened of being said as yellow by ability of Republican bullies. So the Democrats cower, and are said as cowards besides.

There has been so much fighting so long, over so much, that I really don't understand what is conservative and what is liberal anymore. I can come up with examples of how everything I was taught about what either means is now wrong.

NO ONE seems to be using the old noggin anymore. Hmph.

The fact is we aren't united in this war. We should be, but we,re not. The left is so obsessed with getting back in power that they are trying to cause America's defeat. Oops, there I go putting my 'spin' on this. Sorry.

I agree, Yahoo answers is kind of like going on the Jerry Springer show....lots of name calling and stupid question\ answers.
Some questions and answers are very thoughtful, even though I may disagree.
I try not to answer the stupid ones....(IE. Do you think Booosh suks?....Why do Libs sukk?) because answering that stuff only encourages more of the same.
