Penguin, the giraffe's head is to high to even see the little bugger, the penguin could be fighting him without the giraffe ever even seeing him, it would be like the giraffe was in a fight with a ghost. Go little guy!

Lets look at this logically. These two animals would likely never fight as they live in vastly different environments. The only way that they might be in proximity to one another would be in a zoo, or some other man made situation.

But since you've asked, I'll go with the giraffe. The giraffe has four feet instead of two. It has a body mass dozens of times that of even the largest penguin species. Giraffes swing their necks in battle, which can be considered a formidable weapon. What's a penguin to do? Slap at the giraffe's knees or try and bite?

If you were to substitute humans for the animals, I think that you would be able to see the same result. For the giraffe, I propose that we have Yao Ming stand in. For the penguin, we will utilize Sister Mary Margaret. Do you see where this is going? Yao wins, even if the sister is sporting and out-sized ruler.

Well, I don't think this would be much of a fight. While the giraffe is too tall to really see the penguin or get down to his level, the penguin really couldn't do that much damage to the giraffe. Unless the giraffe got a lucky kick in, or the penguin lured the giraffe into a river or lake, it's going to be a pretty boring battle.

It comes down to home court advantage. A penguin could slip around very quickly if it's on ice. The giraffe would be too clumsy. If we're in a giraffe's natural territory, the size would be too much for the little guy.

Penguin. As the giraffe charges him, he could lie down and cause the giraffe to trip. The bigger they are the harder they fall!
