MY GOD _ the "other" team - you must not be much of a fan if you don't even know who the Oilers were playing!
It was the Carolina Hurricanes and unfortunately - they beat Edmonton 3 - 1 to win the Stanley Cup. It was 2 - 1 and the oilers pulled their goalie for an extra attacker and Williams score an empty net goal for the 3-1 win. Cam Ward the Canes goalie won the Conn Smythe Trophy - Playoff MVP.
