A searchable database of peer reviewed journals on the subject of religion.?

PubMed.com does a fairly comprehensive subject searchable database of medical journals. I'm looking for a similar database covering the subject of religion.

I'm hoping for a database that doesn't require a subscription.

It's called the ATLA Religion Index.

You should be able to access this database from ANY college or university library. Even some public libraries will have it.
