The diary starts from her 13th before her family goes into hiding. You learn about her, her hopes and her fears. The diary essentialy became her best friend, in fact many of the entries are addressed "Dear Kitty".

I suggest you read it yourself. It is a stunning book, and you need to read the text to experience the feelings. And I also suggest you look at the cover and see the title is: "THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK." enjoy this wonderful book as I did! Happy Reading!

Girl hides with family in attic to avoid being sent to concentration camp in 1940s Amsterdam. Family gets turned in. Girl gets sent to camp. Girl dies within days of when she would have been free. Father finds her diary that attests to the fact that she had a meanigful life. The end.

Read the book. See the movie. See the play. Fly to Amsterdam and tour the house. See if you can keep from crying.

It'd take too long to do that, but I'm sure it's on tons of websites. It's probably taught in loads of schools so there are bound to be cheat notes somewhere.
maybe try a bookshop website - they give brief overviews of the books so people can buy them. But that would be REALLY brief and probably no help.
