Yep. Tabla rasa = blank slate.

In literature, it is used to describe a person's mind when it first comes into the world (you don't know anything when you're born = blank slate). This is why there is a river of forgetfulness the ancient Greek mythology. When a person died, he/she went through the river and forgot everything - you enter and leave in the same state of mind. Although, I think, in literature, it is also called "tabula rasa."
